Raising a child today comes with profound challenges — and profound opportunities.
This course is designed for parents who find themselves feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, or uncertain about how to guide their children through emotional and behavioral struggles. Whether your child is acting out, shutting down, or testing limits, you are not alone — and you are not failing.

“So My Kid is an Asshole?” offers a compassionate, research-based roadmap to help you break unhealthy patterns, build deep emotional connections, and foster resilience in your child. Through a series of reflective lessons, actionable strategies, and emotional intelligence tools, you’ll develop the skills needed to create a more balanced, supportive family environment.

You will explore your own parenting blueprint, identify problematic behaviors with clarity, strengthen your relationship with your child, and implement effective discipline that teaches rather than punishes. The course also dives into lifestyle foundations such as nutrition, exercise, screen time habits, and when and how to thoughtfully consider medication as part of a support plan.

By the end of this course, you will not only understand your child’s behavior more deeply, but you will also be equipped to model emotional regulation, set clear and healthy expectations, and create a long-term growth plan that nurtures both your child’s and your own development.

Parenting is not about perfection — it’s about showing up with consistency, compassion, and courage.
Let this course be your starting point toward a more connected, resilient future with your child.

Part III: So My Kid is an Asshole?
So My Kids is an Asshole...?
Is this course only for parents dealing with extreme behavior issues?
Not at all. This course is designed for any parent who feels frustrated, overwhelmed, or confused by their child's behavior — whether it's occasional defiance or ongoing emotional struggles. It's about building healthier relationships, not about labeling children as "bad."
What if I realize I have unhealthy parenting patterns — will this course help me change?
Yes. This course is rooted in the belief that change begins with self-awareness and compassion. You will not be judged; instead, you'll be supported through reflective exercises and actionable strategies to create the kind of parent-child relationship you truly want.
Does this course promote or oppose medication for kids with behavior challenges?
This course does not take a "for" or "against" stance on medication. Instead, it provides balanced, research-informed guidance to help you make empowered, child-centered decisions with your healthcare team, if needed.
How much time will I need to commit to this course each week?
Most parents find that dedicating about 2–3 hours per week allows them to absorb the material, complete the reflections, and begin practicing small changes at home. The course is self-paced, so you can adjust based on your family's needs.
What if I try the strategies and my child's behavior doesn’t change right away?
Behavioral change takes time, patience, and consistency — just like healing any relationship. Some shifts may happen quickly, while others unfold over weeks or months. This course encourages you to see progress as a journey, not a single event, and offers tools for adjusting your approach as needed.
